The Power of Reinvention

Have you ever wondered who you are? The real you? Not the person your parents wanted you to be, or society told you to be? Not the diagnosis that they labelled you with? Not the derogatory name your ex called you?

Sometimes in life, we are faced with circumstances that make us ask that question: Who am I, really? As we look for the answer to that question, we often turn our lives around in ways we didn’t imagine possible. We start that business we always dreamed of, or get our health under control. We find that special someone who complements us or perhaps finally get our finances under control. It is amazing what we can create by asking this simple question.

Taking a look at who we really are, we get to reinvent ourselves and reclaim the narrative of our lives.

In this book, 24 women tell their story of reinvention. They share the events that forced them to ask the question: “Who am I, really?” and how the answer to that question changed their lives.

We hope to inspire readers to go on their own journey of self-exploration and reinvention.

Reframe Your Goals & Reclaim Your Dreams

This world is constantly telling us that we aren't enough: not good enough, pretty enough, successful enough, productive enough, and the list goes on. As a result, much of our drive to grow and develop seems rooted in our wish to convince the world to like us. We just want to be loved, feel that we belong, and—at the end of the day—have a sense that we’re accepted for who we are.

Yet, when we set these types of goals (driven by these kinds of motivations), we often give up before getting halfway to reaching them. This is because, deep down, we know that our shame-based attempts at self-improvement aren’t actually going to make us feel the way we want to feel. Are you ready to join me in setting goals for yourself that are grounded in reality and compassion toward your humanity?
